Beautiful German Traditional Half-Timbered house

Holiday flat for two persons in the heritage town of Goslar in the Harz Mountains

The modern furnished accommodation is on the first floor of a romantic half-timbered house from circa 1865. The accommodation covers approximately 38 m² and consists of a bright living-room with kitchen unit and facilities, a comfortable bedroom and a bathroom with bathtub and shower.

The green and white painted house is set back a little from Bäckerstraße, located in a pleasantly quiet setting. There is a sunny balcony to relax on at the end of the day direct off the living-room. The bedroom faces away from the street and looks over the large garden behind the house.

The house entrance is shared with the owner, along with the traditional German staircase (steep) installed in these early properties, that leads up to the flat. Since this is a historic half-timbered house, you have to be prepared to duck once or twice under a beam or doorframe when you are taller than 1.80 m. The rooms themselves have a comfortable height of 2.10 m.

The apartment is located in the centre of the old town: Less than 10 minutes walking to reach the sites of the "Kaiserstadt", the market square, the Kaiserpfalz, restaurants, shops, bakery, railway station. Even a little cinema is just round the corner.

On your arrival and departure, you can use the driveway of the property to off load, parking is usually available on request. If it is not possible to use the drive, the daily car parking rate 4€, with being free to park on Sundays and public holidays. There is also a shelter for bicycles.

The host speaks English. Working as a tour guide in heritage town of Goslar and the nearby former Ore mines of the Rammelsberg, I would gladly give you advice and information during your visit to the world heritage site of Goslar and the Harz mountains area.
